The Last Man<\/h1>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

(The title reflects on the imaginary last human being on our planet. It can be a man or woman but for consistency and rhyme mentioned as man. It is essentially the outcome of foolishness of the human species which did not care for a future life of the planet with happy humans. It is time for us to think and act wisely so that one of our grandchildren doesn\u2019t turn out to be the last man!)<\/h5>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Walking through the days and nights,<\/p>

to the endless horizon,<\/p>

I see none like me;<\/p>

the world is weird,<\/p>

with empty paths and hollow boundaries<\/p>

and me the only being!<\/p>

Thirsty, I reach for water,<\/p>

not a drop anywhere,<\/p>

hungry, I search for food,<\/p>

scanty greens of trees and plants,<\/p>

to flash somewhere.<\/p>

Walking beside them,<\/p>

only tirades to travel with!<\/p>

I realize, I am the only man,<\/p>

left as a trotter in the globe,<\/p>

which doesn\u2019t need a map anymore!<\/p>

I stroll \u2013<\/p>

besides the canopies of computer heaps,<\/p>

with peeping glitters of piled up phones,<\/p>

and the mountains of dreadful weapons.<\/p>

I run \u2013<\/p>

past the endless dumped graveyards<\/p>

dead with unsung diseases;<\/p>

All from unknown hatred and known wars!<\/p>

Realize I am the only man<\/p>

and wander fast to see<\/p>

a being to be with;<\/p>

but only to be left as the last man.<\/p>

I see the comforts of life<\/p>

built by devotion and sacrifice,<\/p>

for need and greed, frozen in every street.<\/p>

The cruising ships still<\/p>

and staggering in every sea,Cars and buses left packed in every space;<\/p>

the jets that jutted the busy travel era<\/p>

zigzagged silent in the large ports;<\/p>

the empty malls, huts and houses,<\/p>

the sand less sea sides,<\/p>

with no lives in them!<\/p>

I walk with zeal<\/p>

To find a being on the way,<\/p>

Through seasons that spelled,<\/p>

Anew which I never felt:<\/p>

Snow in summer, heat in winter,<\/p>

buds in autumn and<\/p>

Falling leaves in spring\u2026.<\/p>

I walk with zeal<\/p>

To find a being on the way,<\/p>

To tell her\/him what I see, feel and sense;<\/p>

But to also find<\/p>

not scared or worried<\/p>

in the lost and lonely world.<\/p>

For,<\/p>

Worried and scared we are<\/p>

only with a world of beings around!<\/p>

Alone, I walk to find a being.<\/p>

For,<\/p>

the wealth, joy, love, sorrow, hope or happiness,<\/p>

has no meaning without sharing.<\/p>

Language and symbols turn needless,<\/p>

as I speak to myself,<\/p>

only with thoughts.<\/p>

Alone,<\/p>

we don\u2019t \u201clive\u201d only \u201cexist\u201d,<\/p>

to the panic and pressures of an alien world.<\/p>

As the last man to leave this world,<\/p>

I wish in wane to have a being left,<\/p>

To sing the story<\/p>

of the beauty of this world,<\/p>

not to be faded forever to a lost humanity!<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
